Zunheboto, July 5 (MExN): Khukiye village under Satakha Block of Zunheboto district has joined others in Nagaland to achieve the distinction of being 100% COVID-19 vaccinated village on July 4.
The first vaccination drive on started in the village of June 13 during which all eligible beneficiaries were vaccinated except some members due to some health issues.
Accordingly, the village GBs and elders came forward with a determination to vaccinate all its eligible citizens with the COVID-19 vaccine to make the village 100% vaccinated, informed a press release from District Media Officer, CMO Office Zunheboto, Shekho Sophie.
The department responded with a team of medical staff led by Dr Mulasato Keyho,MO and Dr Alvis, MO CHC Satakha, which visited the village on June 20 and July 4, it said. The remaining 37 eligible beneficiaries from the village were vaccinated the vistas in the presence of village authority, it added.
A total of 128 eligible beneficiaries were vaccinated with first dose of COVID-19 vaccine in three phases of intensive campaign, the release further stated.
