Dignitaries with participants at Khutsokhuno on November 27
Kohima, November 29 (MExN): As part of the ongoing 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-based Violence, the District Administration and SANKALP- District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW) in collaboration with Sakhi - One Stop Centre, Phek organised a programme at Khutsokhuno village in Phek district on November 27.
Ratolu Khusoh, case worker, Sakhi-OSC Phek spoke on the topic “Elimination of Gender Based Violence.” Sekhotso Rokha, Retainer Lawyer, Phek DLSA, Phek spoke on early child marriage. Various components on Mission Shakti was briefed by Wetsutso Mero, SFL, DHEW Phek. Vechilu Kezo gave a brief highlight on Shakti Sadan and the facilities provided to the women in distress. Sezolu Nyekha, Supervisor, Child Helpline 1098, gave a brief highlight on the services, facilities, assistance provided under child helpline.
The programme was chaired by Veposelu Naroh Lohe, Gender Specialist, DHEW, Phek. Earlier, welcome address delivered by head GB Theyiekhuyi Sapuh while vote of thanks was proposed by Menu-u Tsuhah, CA, Sakhi-OSC, Phek. The programme concluded with the signature campaign on HeForShe.
