Resource person addressing during the capacity building programme conducted for Kiphire district SHG Federation on September 8.
Dimapur, September 16 (MExN): Kiphire district Self Help Group Federation held a seminar on capacity building programme on September 8 at Hopongkyu Memorial Hall Kiphire. The seminar address was delivered by Sepithrong Sangtam, general secretary Kiphire district SHG Federation, informed a press note issued by Kiphire district SHG Federation president Chopiba Z Thongru.
During the seminar, the resource person Thingjamo, project director DRDA Kiphire encouraged the SHG to be genuine and not just form it for the sake of loans or subsidy but to help the group members in time of need. He also deliberated on various schemes under the Rural Development department for the SHGs. The participants were also sensitized on various schemes for SHGs under the Land Resource department, agriculture and horticulture. Altogether 80 SHGs from the three blocks under Kiphire district attended the seminar.
