A day after the NITI Aayog CEO’s visit to Kiphire to review the implementation of Aspirational District programmes, the Kiphire District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) held a meeting at DC's conference Hall in Kiphire town to discuss upcoming Aspirational District projects.

Chairing the meeting, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kiphire Wati Aier expressed optimism that by working together as a team, Kiphire will move forward and be able to fill the ‘development deficit’.

The DC welcomed the members and extended gratitude to all the district officers for the cooperation towards the administration in successfully hosting the NITI Aayog team in the district.

He informed that all Aspirational District projects will be strictly implemented as per the government criteria and further requested departments to submit genuine proposals.

The DC further informed that with the second wave of COVID-19 and cases rising across India, there will be random tests for COVID-19 in Kiphire and asked citizens to strictly follow COVID-19 guidelines.
