In what is considered to be major development for the local people to be self sustaining and self-reliant, 19-20 local labourers know as 'Kiphire Local Retrievers Union' was formed here today under the initiative of Kiphire Town Chambers of Commerce and Industries (KTCCI).
Speaking at the launching programme, DC M. Shayung Kiphire Phom exude confidence that the union will break the barrier in the minds of the people that no work is unworthy when one work with dignity and dedication.
“We should all be guided by the philosophy of dignity of labour, going to office alone should not be considered as a dignified job, whatever we do, whether as a government employees or daily wage earners are all the same when one work with honesty dedication and sincerity,” he stated.
Assuring of all support and help to the newly formed Kiphire Local Retrievers Union, the DC stated that district administration and Kiphire Town Council (KTC) will always be there with the Kiphire Local Retrievers in every steps of the way and urged the locals to join hands to bring new work culture in society.
Also speaking at the programme KTCCI, General Secretary, Tsalichum Sangtam stated that Kiphire Local Retrievers Union has been formed to imbibe new work culture among the local labourers.
Short speech was also delivered by ADC Reny Wilfred IAS, Kiphire, while the programme was chaired by Dr. Apise, Executive Secretary USBLA Sub-centre Kiphire.
