Kiphire, July 5 (MExN): The Kiphire District Task Force and in collaboration with Assam Rifles, Kiphire carried out a special vaccination drive on COVID-19 at Helipad ground, Kiphire and carried out sensitisation programme at multiple villages on July 4.
A DIPR report stated that the special vaccination drive was organised for the eligible beneficiaries of both 18-44 years and 45 years and above at Helipad ground, Kiphire. During the drive a total number of 276 beneficiaries were availed vaccine.
The medical team led by DIO, Dr K Pewezo Khalo, conducted sensitisation on COVID-19 vaccination at Kesitong village, Changchore village and Kichang village. Dr Khalo stated that the team spoke on importance of vaccine and the people response on Covid-19 vaccine was positive.
A vaccination drive was held on July 4 at Salomi village under Pungro ADC HQ, Kiphire. A total 170 beneficiaries received the Covid-19 jab. The team was led by SMO, Dr Nakhro and Dr Siku in presence of ADC Pungro Abhinav Shivam, IAS.
Department of Nagaland State Transport, carried out sensitisation programme on Covid-19 vaccination drive was carried out under the supervision of DTF, Kiphire at three villages on July 5.
The NST, Department led by Station Superintendent, L Meshu Khiam conducted sensitisation programmes on Covid-19 vaccination at Langzanger village, Natsami village and Yangsekyu village respectively. The team leader said that the programme was conducted successfully.
Vaccination was undertaken at three places in Pungro Circle under Kiphire District on July 5. At Old Vongti village, 31 beneficiaries received the vaccine, while at New Vongti village, recorded 47 people were vaccinated.
Another 44 beneficiaries were vaccinated at the Community Health Centre, Pungro town, making total turn out 107. The team was led by Dr Siku and Dr Nakhro at New Vongti and Old Vongti respectively.
