The Kitsubozou Panchayat, Kohima celebrated its 51 years of existence in the Panchayat Hall here on October 2.
Speaking on the occasion, Kitsubozou Panchayat Chairman Vimhalie Pienyü called upon the officials of panchayat and frontal organizations including women and youth bodies to have cordial relationship and work cohesively for the welfare and uplift of the colony/ward in general. He encouraged the women group to remain on the forefront as mothers and also the youths to stand as the backbone of the colony.
Pienyü also conveyed gratitude to the pioneers and former leaders for their sacrifices towards the welfare of the colony.
Kitsubozou Panchayat, General Secretary, Aziebu Theyo presented the activities of the panchayat since October 2020 while treasurer report was laid by Neilie Aacha and constitution committee report by convener Dr Asalie Khezhie.
Reports of various committees including Anganwadi, Health, Education, Sanitation and Audit were also presented by the respective bodies. Kitsubozou GB Vituozo Kire, women organization president Vevosalü Terhase and youth president Ruokuozolie Pienyü also exhorted the gathering.
The occasion was marked by felicitation of new colony GB Medochülie Khezhie and also farewell of outgoing GB Thepfuzielie Rutsa. The programme was chaired by vice chairman Visakholie Zatsu while finance secretary Sarhünyi Shupao proposed vote of thanks.
Midland: The 51st Midland Panchayat Day was observed today at the Panchayat Hall, Midland, Kohima.
Exhorting the gathering, former chairman Keduozolie Nihu Kera called upon the residents of the colony to work in unison for the welfare and common interest of the colony. Let unity, love and peace prevail in the colony, he said.
Midland Panchayat, General Secretary, T Toso Thapru highlighted the various activities and events conducted within the colony. Welcome address was delivered by Midland Panchayat vice chairman Ngulho Mepfii-o. School Management Committee and Sanitation Committee reports have also been shared at the function. Midland Baptist Church pastor Neisalie Rossl invoked God’s blessing.
Midland Panchayat chairman Kopelo Krome chaired the function while vote of thanks was proposed by vice chairman Tsa-o Paphino.
