Kohima, September 15 (MExN): The Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, has notified a mandatory checklist of documents for applicants seeking a Language Proficiency Certificate for the 19 local languages/dialects identified by the Government of Nagaland.
The notification was issued in pursuance of a Home Department (Home Branch) notification regarding the identification of 19 local languages/dialects spoken in the State.
According to the notification, applicants are required to submit an application on plain paper along with their Scheduled Tribe (ST) Certificate, Indigenous Inhabitant Certificate (IIC), Class 10 (HSLC) marksheet and a recommendation letter from the concerned Tribal Literature Board/Ura Academy.
Applicants may also submit any other relevant supporting documents for verification.
The notification stated that the Language Proficiency Certificate will be officially issued by the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kohima.
