With the detection of COVID-19 cases from among 4 non-frontline workers residing in various colonies in Kohima, Naga Bazaar, D-Block and Lower Chandmari colonies have been demarcated as ‘sealed areas.’
Earlier, health officials told The Morung Express that two cases were from Naga Bazaar, while the other two were from D-Block and Lower Chandmari.
The officials also said that all the cases are asymptomatic and are being treated at NHAK COVID-19 Hospital. Assessments are being made by the Rapid Response team and measures will be put in place, they said.
The Kohima Deputy Commissioner meanwhile issued an order demarcating the areas to be sealed in order to conduct contact tracing and contain the spread of infection.
All movement of person/vehicles within the defined sealed area is strictly prohibited and under active surveillance, the DC stated.
