Cheineino Brothers, Mystic Club wins

Cheineino Brothers and Mystic Club today emerged the champion title of 8th Kohima District Open Volleyball Tournament 2021 under men and women category respectively.

Held under the aegis of Kohima District Volleyball Association (KDVA), the three day long tournament concluded today wherein N.Bhavani Sri, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kohima graced the closing ceremony as the special guest.

In men category, Cheineino Brothers Kiruphema retained the champion title and awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 50,000 while runner-up Michazou Mima carried a cash prize of Rs. 25,000.

Semi finalists Kiruphema Youth Organization and Dazzling Phesama received Rs. 5000 each.

Kethovikho Zenyii of Cheineino Brothers and Keneiso Tepa of Michazou Mima bagged best spiker and best setter titles respectively and pocketed Rs. 2000 each.

Mystic Club-the champion in women category awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 30,000 while runner-up Elite Sisters received Rs. 15,000.

Semi finalists Kezo town youth and Tiemakhe Kidima awarded with Rs. 5000 each.

Rinrichon Kashung and Mhasivino Kuotsu, both from Mystic Club bagged the best spiker and best setter title respectively and received Rs. 2000 each.

Meanwhile, Visaneikho Hesielie of   Cheineino Brothers Kiruphema awarded with the best coach title and carried Rs. 2000.

Dr. Asalie Khezhie, Deputy Director, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services, Nagaland gave away prize to the winners at the closing ceremony.

Altogether, 18 teams joined the tournament.
