Kohima, July 24 (MExN): The Kohima district administration on Friday issued a travel advisory for commuters using the Kohima-Mao section of National Highway-2 following adverse weather conditions and reports of intermittent rockfall and debris from adjoining hill slopes near the Phesama Sinking Zone.
In an advisory, District Magistrate B Henok Buchem said the affected stretch lies between Chainage Km 191+840 and Km 192+100.
Motorists have been advised to exercise maximum caution while passing through the affected stretch and to avoid non-essential travel during periods of heavy rainfall and adverse weather.
The District Magistrate also discouraged travel through the affected zone during night hours due to safety concerns.
