Kohima, August 17 (DIPR): The Kohima District Planning & Development Board felicitated five personnel from various departments for their dedicated services towards their vocation and the public at large. The felicitation programme was held at DC’s Conference Hall, Kohima on August 16.
The recipients of DPDB Award 2011 for meritorious services were K. Tomugha Sema (Chowkidar) from PHE (Urban), Menühol Angami (Fireman) from Fire Service, I. Rendimeren (Lineman) and Dilip Shah (Jugali) from Power Department and Modoli (Sweeper) from Kohima Municipal Council.
Representative from the Departments concerned spoke on the occasion where they all thanked the Kohima DPDB for encouraging the field staff from various departments who work round the clock throughout the year. Kohima DPDB was further appreciated for recognizing the efforts of all the hard work done by the recipients. One of the awardees, Menühol Angami from Fire Services was inflicted with serious injuries while on duty during the fire incident at TCP gate Kohima and could not attend the programme. All the awardees also spoke at the function.
The awards were given away by Speaker, Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Kiyanilie Peseyie who also encouraged them to give their best in their duties. The programme was chaired by Chairman, Kohima DPDB, Vikho-o Yhoshü.
