Kohima: Mount Olive College gets Grade B accreditation from NAAC

Kohima, June 17 (MExN): Mount Olive College, Kohima (MOCK), sponsored by the Sumi Baptist Church, Kohima has been granted Grade B accreditation by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) Bangalore.

In a press release, the MOCK Information & Publicity Committee informed that for the 2nd Cycle of National Assessment & Accreditation the on-site visit was conducted on June 7 and 8 by the NAAC Peer Team. The Peer Team comprised of Dr Meena Rajiv Chandawarkar, former Vice Chancellor of Karnataka State Women University, Bijapur, Karnataka as Chairperson; and Dr Niranjan Roy, former Registrar, Department of Tolani Commerce College, Adipur, Kutch - Gujarat as Member.

During the two day visit, the Peer Team visited the facilities and held interactions with the Head of Institution Swedezhono Tsukrü, heads of the various Departments, IQAC Co-ordinator and its members, teaching and non-teaching staff, as well as the students, parents and Alumni. The team also had a luncheon meeting with Members of the Governing Body and official representatives from Nagaland University and Department of Higher Education, Government of Nagaland, the release stated.

According to the press release, a cultural evening was held on June 7 which showcased ‘Unity in Diversity’ through narrations, rich and vibrant traditional attires, jewelry, folk songs, dances and the authentic cuisines presented by the students from all tribes and communities. The Peer Team Visit concluded with the exit meeting on June 8, it stated.
