Kohima, November 30 (MExN): Kohima Police has issued an advisory for tourists and visitors in view of the 26th Edition of the Hornbill Festival to be held at Kisama Heritage Village from December 1 to 10. The advisory outlines travel, security, and assistance guidelines to ensure a smooth and safe experience during the festival.

The police stated that all travellers and tourists are advised to strictly follow the travel advisories and security guidelines issued from time to time by the Government and law-enforcement agencies. It added that adherence to these instructions will contribute towards the festival being conducted smoothly and peacefully.

The advisory reminded that all car pass holders, particularly those with ‘Z’ category car passes, must secure their passes properly and not leave them unattended inside vehicles. It warned that theft, loss, or misuse of passes could affect movement and overall security arrangements.

Visitors and tourists were also encouraged to approach the Tourist Police or any police personnel on duty if they require assistance or face any complaint, inconvenience, or problem. Police personnel will be deployed at key festival locations to provide support and ensure safety.

Kohima Police sought the cooperation of all visitors and stakeholders for the successful celebration of the Hornbill Festival 2025.
