Kohima, January 14 (MExN): Kohima Police manning Khuzama inter-state police check gate while conducting routine checking of vehicles on January 11, intercepted one Tata Mobile bearing regd. No. NL-07A-8625 and recovered a total of 45 cases of various brands of IMFL concealed underneath the vegetables.
In this connection, the driver of the vehicle namely Jeevan Poudel (28 years), resident of Senapati, Manipur was arrested and a case has been registered under NLTP Act for further investigation, stated a press release issued by the PRO Kohima Police.
Earlier on January 5, in another incident, Khuzama inter-state check gate personnel intercepted one Tata Yodha bearing regd. No.NL-07-1943 and recovered 68 cases of IMFL of different brands.
In this connection, two persons namely T Loues (24) and Robinson (23), both from Senapati, Manipur were arrested and a case was registered for further investigations.
