Kohima Red Tigresses win 2nd Women Futsal League

Kohima, May 14 (MExN): Kohima Red Tigresses emerged the champion of the 2nd Nagaland Women Futsal League 2026, which concluded on May 13 at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.

Kohima Red Tigresses awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 60,000.

United Girls Kohima secured the runners-up and fetched Rs. 50,000.

SC Nagaland and Football Plus Kohima finished third and fourth place and received Rs. 40,000 and Rs.20,000 respectively.

In individual prizes, best player, most valuable player, Best Goalkeeper and highest scorer awarded with Rs. 5000 each while best discipline team received Rs. 10,000.

Anthony Ngullie, Secretary, Youth Resources & Sports, Govt of Nagaland graced the closing ceremony as the special guest.

The closing ceremony was chaired by Kethosituo Sekhose while the tournament report was presented by Nyuvitho Nyuthe. Thanksgiving prayer was pronounced by Khriehuto Tsira.

The league was organised by Department of Youth Resources and Sports, Government of Nagaland, in collaboration with Nagaland Football Association (NFA).

Altogether, eight teams (Kohima Red Tigresses, Pink Panthers Kohima, Puiteing FC Jalukie Town, SC Nagaland, United Girls Kohima, SFS Football Academy Medziphema, Brave Cubs Kohima and
Football  Plus Jalukie)  joined the tournament.

Individual winners
Best Goalkeeper: Kevipfhenuo Semou (Kohima Red Tigresses)
Highest scorer: Diezechünuo (SC Nagaland)
Most Valuable Player: Rokothono (United Girls Kohima)
Best Player: Zemloi Konyak (Kohima Red Tigresses)
Best Discipline Team: Brave Cubs Kohima
