Vimialuo, Rev Dr Zotuo and other church leaders at the 10th Foundation day of Koinonia Prayer Centre programme in Kohima on December 6.
Kohima, December 6 (MExN): The Koinonia Prayer Centre, Tsiesema Basa held its 10th Foundation Day programme on December 5 under the theme ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer.’
The programme was hosted by Chumdeno and family with Rev Dr Zotuo Kiewhuo, Founder Pastor, Koinonia Baptist Church & Principal, Kohima Bible College, as the speaker.
Rev Dr Zotuo in his message stated that within 10 years of its existence as a fully fledged ministry under the Koinonia Baptist Church, the prayer centre has become one of the fasted growing prayer centres with over thousands of people coming for fasting and prayer, not only from India but from the rest of the world, and even taking Baptism every month which is a testament that the word of God is active and working.
Emphasising on the theme, he said that the church of God is supposed to be praying and not otherwise, adding that in the end times prayer for global mission should also be on priority so that every souls should come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
‘Every church member should be zealous for the kingdom of God,’ he said.
Stating that persistent prayer is the need of the hour for revival, He stated that in the end days people will only want to hear pleasing sermons ‘to suit their own desire’ and not of ‘ sound doctrine’ which are to correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction.
He exhorted the congregation to pray earnestly because the burden of God is heavier. ‘Prayer humbles us, people in pride do not pray,’ he stated.
A 92 year old Vimialuo also gave his testimony during the program as the sole survivor of the remarkable journey, barefoot in 1978 to a crusade with his elders, namely, Lt. Rusovi, Lt. Meguolhou,Lt. Theyesayi and Lt. Musuohu,
