KSC, Jotsoma celebrates parting social

Kohima | November 30 : Kohima Science College, Jotsoma today celebrated its 50th parting social to bid farewell to the outgoing students of Class 12 and 3rd year BSc.

The programme brought a fitting conclusion to the week-long Golden WinFest sports event and the golden jubilee celebrations of the college.

Wepretso Mero, NCS, Addl. Secretary, Home, graced the occasion as the chief guest.

Speaking on the occasion, he said a Passport Cell had been opened at the Home Department to cater to the needs of the people. New or fresh applicants only would be entertained and the forms would be available at the office.

He exhorted the students saying, “Doing well is not enough in this competitive world. You have to excel.”

He also went on to impress upon the students about the value of time that every one of us should do something valuable in our everyday life. He wished the students all success in their forthcoming exams.

Earlier, the college principal Dr. Vituo Belho, informed that about 1300 students will be appearing for the exams early next year. He said that the college has been performing fairly well as far as exams were concerned, but reminded the gathering that there was always room for improvement.

He challenged the students especially the outgoing ones, to give their best and bring laurels to themselves and to the college.

The programme was organised by Kohima Science College Students’ Union.
