KU & KNSK bid farewell to Mon DC Thavaseelan

Mon, June 17 (MExN): The Konyak Union (KU) and Konyak Nyupuh Sheko Khong (KNSK) bade farewell to Thavaseelan K, IAS, outgoing Deputy Commissioner, Mon. He served the district for four years and seven months. 

The two organisations, in a press release, expressed gratitude to Thavaseelan for his astute professionalism in handling several difficult situations and odd cases in the district. “He had been instrumental in bringing many private parties from across the country and abroad to contribute in developing Mon district for which we are indebted,” it stated. 

“The drastic changes during his time especially development of District Hospital and Wangkhao Government College is a living witness for all to see. His credentials as a DC, Mon was beyond doubt a commendable and outstanding one. He leaves behind a huge legacy with the people of Mon District,” it added.

Meanwhile, the KU and KNSK also welcomed Ajit Kumar Verma, IAS, the new Deputy Commissioner, Mon and assured fullest cooperation and support to the new DC and look forward to work together for peace and all round development of the district.
