MON, DECEMBER 17 (MExN): The Konyak Union (Mon Unit) has expressed its “unwavering support” to the District Executive Force (Mon Police) for a recent anti-drug operation.
In a statement jointly issued by Chingnye Konyak, President, and Nokhreih Ünok SN, General Secretary, KU Mon Unit, the union commended the police for the “laudable efforts and achievement” in apprehending a lady constable, her driver, and all other individuals involved in smuggling and selling illegal drugs, popularly known as 'Shanflower', at Mon village junction on December 5, 2025.
The KU Mon Unit reiterated its stand against contraband and illegal drugs, extending its “unconditional support” to the police force’s action.
The union strongly condemned such activities, stating they “not only affect human lives but also directly injure the morality of the society.” It urged authorities to ensure that individuals involved in such crimes “must be given deterrent punishment as per the law of the Country and the State.”
