Kuki Inpi Nagaland extends support to August 3 Framework Agreement

DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 5 (MExN): The Kuki Inpi Nagaland (KIN) has extended support to the August 3, 2015 Framework Agreement which was signed between the NSCN (IM) and the Government of India based on the unique Naga history.  

“It is our hope that through this historic agreement, the six decades old conflict between India and Nagas will come to a lasting peaceful solution to both parties. We pray the Almighty God would grant wisdom to the collective leadership of the NSCN/GPRN during this hour of decision making,” read a press statement issued by KIN president Lalkhongam Gangte and general secretary L Asong.  

In a separate press note, KIN expressed gratitude to the NSCN (IM) for organizing a consultative meeting on the current Indo-Naga political development for the Kuki community under UT-1 and all frontal organizations of the Kuki community at Horeb Guest House, Dimapur on Friday.  

The press statement informed that NSCN (IM) kilo kilonser RH Raising enlightened the Kuki community on the Naga political issue and the ongoing peace process.  

The organization also expressed gratitude to executive members of the steering committee, namely Kilonser Hukavi Yepthomi, Tatar Haolim Kuki, Deputy Kilonsers S Hangsing and Khevishe Achumi for organizing the consultative meeting.
