KVK Dimapur holds training on profitable dairy farming

KVK Dimapur, under the ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, conducted training programme on “Profitable Dairy Farming: Best Practices for Small Holders” at Bade village from July 16 to 18.

DIMAPUR, JULY 25 (MExN): The Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Dimapur, under the ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, conducted a three-day off-campus training programme on “Profitable Dairy Farming: Best Practices for Small Holders” at Bade village from July 16 to 18.

Dr Ebibeni Ngullie, Chief Technical Officer, served as the course coordinator. The training focused on key aspects of profitable dairy farming such as breed selection and management, feed and nutrition, housing and infrastructure, health and disease management, record keeping, and financial planning.

During the programme, Dr Ngullie also addressed issues faced by farmers in other livestock sectors such as goatery, piggery, and poultry. A total of 20 farmers participated in the training. The programme concluded with the distribution of certificates to the trainees.
