Kohima village youth organization would like to inform the general public that, the All Nagaland taxi association has been banned from overseeing the affairs of taxi owners, drivers and public who avail the services at kohima. It should be noted that, all Nagaland Taxi Association in no way has been barred from shouldering responsibility concerning the state of Nagaland. But they will no longer be allowed to hold dual charge of Kohima as well as Nagaland, which has been in practice till date. Collections of all kinds of tax at parking lots, counters or any other done by ANTA in the capital has henceforth been suspended indefinitely.
A new team of office bearers will be entrusted and given the independent responsibility of running all affairs or matters relating to registered commercial taxi’s under the banner of ANTA (Kohima unit). KVYO therefore request various taxi owners of both zonal and local who are citizens of Kohima district to kindly contact our office at 9774016526/9856000177 in order to form a new team, that will work out modalities which will be in the best interest of owners, drivers and general public alike.
This action has been necessitated due to the corrupt and disruptive activities of the ANTA central office bearers whose action and conduct were hampering the fragile and relative calm of the capital town. Various complains of discrepancies, favoritism and unabashed corruption had been brought to the notice of KVYO since the time kohima district had come under the direct charge of the central office bearers.
All taxi owners and drivers are henceforth directed to pay tax only the municipal bodies, till such time that Kohima Unit of ANTA comes into a full fledged functioning body similar to the system prevailing at various other districts of our state.
