Kohima, December 29 (MExN): A youth organization in Kohima, Kohima Village Youth Organization (KVYO) has asked all citizens of the state capital to adhere to the orders of the district administration banning fireworks and crackers. The KVYO has asked respective colony youth organizations and concerned citizens to be vigilant and inform either the local police stations or KVYO’s Quick Response Team at any time, day or night, for action. KVYO issued note today appended by its vice president Peter Rutsa and convener QRT. The KVYO’s QRT will also be conducting mobile checking as well as static vigilance at various parts of Kohima from the date of issue of this circular, the organization said. The vigilance is necessitated by various reports of rash driving and anti-community behavior, physical skirmishes and other ‘indecent acts’ in public view. Such anti-social acts are spoiling the festive atmosphere as well as causing inconvenience to law-abiding citizens, the KVYO stated. The organization has sought co-operation from the public and social organizations in this regard. The QRT can be reached at 9856000177, 9615055295, 8974343040 and 9436400485.
