Dimapur, October 24 (MExN): On receiving report of firing incident at Soku ‘B’ Village by personals of 41 AR, the Kyong Hoho (KH) Executive Council led by Chairman Yansathung Jami visited the area on October 20, 2012 for spot verification. This was informed in a press note issued by Yansathung Jami Chairman Kyong Hoho and Thungchanbemo Lotha Jt. Secy, Kyong Hoho. Basing on the genuineness of the incident the Kyong Hoho during an Emergency Executive Council Meeting the next day condemned the incident where one major of 41AR fired four rounds from an Assault Rifle inside the kitchen of one Mr. Pyingchio Murry (G.B.) at around 3:30 AM on 20/10/202, the press note alleged.
The Kyong Hoho took strong exception to the act of the Major for firing shots and questioned as to whether he was provoke and hamper the peace process and break Cease Fire Ground Rules (CFGR) “as to create tension and chaos in Kyong area”. “What is the intention of the personals in raiding the house without any police guide or Village Council members? “Why did the personals came latter on and collected the empty shells and what are they trying to hide?”
The House further urged for High Level Enquiry (HLE) into the incident and punish the accused at the earliest for his unwanted actions. “The army personals are requested to return the looted amount of Rs. 2000/- to the House owner where one mobile was returned”.
