Shamator, June 15 (MExN): The Shamator Town Public Forum (STPF) today informed that while National Highway (NH) 202 between Shamator and Kiphire near NAP Ward, Shamator Headquarters has been cut off due to a major landslide since July 16, 2023, its restoration remains neglected.

The STPF, in a press release, stated that the Public Works Department (National Highway) has yet to address the restoration of the road.

During this period, the circular road at St. Xavier Colony in Shamator has also been cut off, and additional cracks have appeared, affecting the properties of the district's residents.

The landslide has caused significant inconvenience to the general public for an extended period, and the delay in restoration poses a serious risk to human lives, the Forum added.

The STPF has appealed to the concerned Department to expedite the restoration of the NH stretch at the earliest
