The Last Temptation of Christ

In “The Last Temptation of Christ “, the Jesus we worship was portrayed as a confused sinner who struggled because of the sinful impulses in Him. The movie which is based on a novel “The Last Temptation of Christ “written by Nikos Kazantzakis is as controversial as the contents are. This act of heresy eventually created a legacy by a lunatic who signed his name in the book of hell through his own acts of deception.
In a press statement Martin Scorsese, the director of the film said “ I tried to create a Jesus who in a sense is just like any other guy in the street. These statements are not only recorded in the media but these sins will be taken into account when the Day of Judgment comes. In a certain sequence of the movie, Christ was portrayed as visualizing Himself having sex with Mary Magdalene and then of committing immorality with other women. It’s sickening even to hear the entire sequence of the movie because of its heretic and cultic nature. It depicts Christ as a habitual sinner who has little control over His sexual passions.
C.S. Lewis in his book “ Mere Christianity “ made this statement “ A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things  Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic on the level with the men who says he is a poached egg- or else he would be the devil of hell. You must make your choice either this was and is, the Son of God or else a mad man or something worse. You can shut Him up for a fool… or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God. But let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about His being a great human being and a great teacher. He has not left that open to us. These statements are as true as the word is. I really appreciate the way this has been put forth in order to destroy the credentials of the heretic movie.
Some may either ignore or condemn this. But the reality needs to be made known that it threatens the survival of many  lovers of sin and the lovers of god alike. We cannot just dismiss the issue just because of our ignorance of it. But we need to confront it with the spiritual powers which are in us. Since this is a spiritual issue the obvious answer to the said question is that it needs to be solved spiritually.
The film was launched with the intention to portray the messiah as a sinful messiah. If this is the Jesus they believe in, they will surely die in their sins. This controversy is part of the fulfilled prophecies and the worst of it are still yet to come. The Word said “In the last time there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires. These are the men who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Spirit (Jude 18-19 ). This ought to convince you that you are now in the era of the last days filth. A point to be noted is that this “Little Controversy will be remembered even in hell. In hell sinners will be able to think, feel and scream but there will be no way out for them to escape the torments of it.
Whoever adds anything to whatever is written in the scripture; the lake of fire will become his or her ultimate destiny. It is sad that this has to happen and I certainly pity the pioneers of it. The damage has already been done and the sinners will have to pay with their life if they repent not of their sins. These pioneers of sin fears no hell because they fear no God. But in the end when these ungodly men and women are judged for their ungodly ways, they will have no reason to protect themselves from the fiery curses of God’s wrath. Either this controversy has to be killed or the ones who are responsible will be killed because of it. As members of the Church of Christ we sternly condemn this sin. Though we hate the sin, we still love and care for the sinners. The movie will not be in hell but its producers will be in it if they intend to market their products at the expense of Christ. The Lord watches this and the guilty will never go away unpunished. The hour of crisis has begun.
