Late G Rio Tourney: Zbto book semi-final spot, win for Wokha

Sovima, March 27 (MExN): Zunheboto secured a semi-final berth in the ongoing tournament on the Day-II of the ongoing 4th Late G Rio Memorial Men's U19 Inter-District Tournament 2024 on March 27, while Wokha secured an emphatic win over Tseminyu.
In the second match at Sovima Cricket Ground, Zunheboto defeated Peren by 5 wickets, the secure the top-four spot.
Opting to bat after winning the toss, Peren couldnot capitalize on their innings, losing wickets at quick intervals and being bowled out for a mere 53 runs in 22.5 over. 

Among Peren’s batsmen, only Anurag managed a decent score of 21 runs. 
For Zunheboto, Rahul and Raja claimed 3 wickets each, while Aarush took 2, and Oloka pocketed one. Despite a shaky start, Zunheboto, led by Raja's unbeaten 24 runs, secured a comfortable win in 14 overs, booking their spot in the semi-finals.
Meanwhile, in the first match at Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Wokha exhibited dominance, defeating Tseminyu by a commanding margin of 140 runs. 

Batting first, Wokha set a target of 169 runs, with contributions from key players such as Liren Jungio, Mharen, and Renben Kikon. Gwakenye Khing's stellar 4-wicket haul led the Tseminyu bowling attack, restricting the total. 

However, an impressive 5-wicket haul by Wokha’s Meribemo Kikon and the first hat-trick of the tournament by teammate Shahil sealed the match in their favour. Eventually, Tseminyu were bundled out for just 29 runs, handing Wokha a convincing victory.
