Laying of annual administrative reports passing of bills and resolutions

KOHIMA, MARCH 20 (DIPR): The Tenth Nagaland Legislative Assembly today led by the Nagaland Chief Minister and the concerned Ministers and Parliamentary Secretaries laid in the table the annual Administrative reports of the following department viz, 1) Youth Resources & Sports 2) Finance 3) Home Department 4) Land Revenue 5) Horticulture Department 6) Power Department 7) Justice & Law Department. This was followed by passing of the following bills today in the floor of the house by a voice vote which were introduced on December 16th 2005 at the last session.

1.    Nagaland Co-operative Societies (Amendment) Bill 2005

2.    The Global University of Nagaland Bill 2005

3.    The Institute of Chartered Financial Analyst of Indian University in Nagaland Bill 2005

The Chief Minister also moved a Government Resolution of Notification to town as centre for creating equitable mortgages. Under this resolution in exercise of the said Proviso, Clause (f) of section 58 of the transfer of property act, the State Government may evoke the said provision to Dimapur Municipality Monza. The resolution was done to facilitate securing of loan from the financial institution by mortgages of landed property within Nagaland because at present in case of loan sanctioned by the SBI the nearest notified centre is the SBI of Bokajan Branch and for the Bank of Baroda at Guwahati city.

The members after discussion passed the supplementary demands for grants 2005-2006 which was followed by the Nagaland Appropriation (No. 1) Bill 2006 moved by the Chief Minister and passed by the house.
