Dimapur, November 19 (MExN): The Local Board of Administration (LBA) meeting of Sainik School Punglwa was held on November 19 at the school campus. Maj General N George VSM, Chief of staff, HQ 3 Corps & Chairman and CM Chang, MP & senior members attended the meeting.
The meeting was also attended by Col SK Rath, Col Edn HQ 3 Corps, Khrupe sothu, Jt. Secretary, School education and nodal officer, M.Z. Akho, Executive Engineer PWD (H) Education division, BK Nanda, Principal, DPS,Dimapur, Zuring Medeliang (DC Peren representative), Hupun Zeliang (parent member), Col R Alagarraj, Principal apprised the members on functioning and progress on academics and various construction projects.
It is also pertinent to mention here that, this is the farewell visit of the Chairman,Maj General N George VSM. General is retiring from active service on December 31. In his farewell speech, the chairman thanked all the LBA members for their active support and co-operation for the betterment of the school. While addressing the cadets he urged them to be more responsible and positive towards the tasks that they undertake and also inculcate the spirit of camaraderie by actively participating in all school related activities.
