Legislators Imkong L Imchen and Er Kropol Vitsu today suggested construction of tunnel road along Pagla Pahar stretch of National Highway- 29 between Kohima- Dimapur.
Initiating half an hour discussion under Rule-48 on the issue pertaining to “Landslide and rock fall in NH-29” at the 5th session of the 14th house of Nagaland Legislative Assembly here today, Imchen expressed deep concern over the rock fall on number of times along Pagla Pahar stretch and suggested construction of tunnel road for safety.
Both Imchen and Vitsu also suggested construction of all weather road along Kohima- Zhadima and Niuland and also Peducha- Tsiesema (10 mile road).
This matter be taken up by cabinet to the Govt of India for funding under special dispensation, Imchen said.
