Let Justice prevail over injustice

After going through the caption “Student leader Assaulted” on local dailies dated 12th May 2006. What actually disturbs me is not simply the fact of the matter, but I am perturbed by the sort of people responsible for it belonging to the NSCN (IM). They are not ordinary citizens nor are they irresponsible people. They come from the very top discipline of our people. Here, I am confident my defending my own interest as a student that such similar incident does occur but …to many but there’s a lot that remains uncovered because it is unseen or rather reluctant to share it due to fear, threats or other various reasons.

I am so captivated by what has happened to my colleagues because I felt very much involved. The truth is I am safe at home and he was not. It can happen anytime to any one of us in this similar situation.

One can make a silly mistake once; still a man can get corrected without resorting to any inhuman punishment. It is sad to learn that our young man of our own cadres misuse the powers and its good name which our leaders fought all their life to bring peace and justice to our people.

Perhaps, it’s the high time that our leaders detect the unfortunate tendency creeping into our society. Therefore, I request that it must punish the wrongdoer accordingly to the law without discriminating anyone.

Let justice prevail over injustice.
