A. Who is to be blame?- The aim of this article is to call for the conscience of all leaders of churches and evangelical societies and all who are truly committed faith in Jesus Christ for critical self-introspection and hard talk of last 4 (four) decades of cultural crisis in our land that has created the present unwanted situations such as.
i. Social divide based on narrow selfish, tribal hatred and sectarian interest seeking disintegration of Nagaland instead of integration of all contagious areas.
ii. Senseless, ruthless war of exploitation, extortion, taxation on its people under the lofty slogan of national independence movement by the factional workers.
iii. Complete loss of work culture due to plenty of money from selling and buying of votes at every state election making it impossible for reform creative thinkers and incorrupt leaders’ participation in the democratic exercise which alone can bring reformation and advancement in social and economic sectors.
iv. Total absence of Christian conscience culture and moral practice in the offices of Govt./Private/NGO’s affairs inspite of world record 98-99% of workers are Christians.
v. Created economic disparity between rich/super rich class and weaker poor class system due to unbridle power and right to grab every opportunities by the powerful privileges class thereby rich gets richer and poor get poorer-Contradiction and mockery of popular democratic slogan “Power to the people and for the people”.
This is not to say that church is to be a platform for political and social activism but the sins of silence, apostasy and spiritual bankruptcy among churches and its organizational leadership over 4(four) successive decades has facilitated present situations. It is more appalling and utter disgustful for silence and inaction of committed faithful leaders and followers of Christ than the failures of our politicians national workers and NGO’s .If the Lord’s servants are not truly loving the Lord, then they cannot truly concern and love the Lord’s sheep’s. If the Lord’s servants are not truly serving and caring the Lord’s sheep, the Lord servant will turn out to be a false prophet, a wolf in sheep skin. You can not say that you are committed to Christ and his kingdom when your conscience and moral practice are operating under the control of secularism, moderatism, liberalism and materialism.
B. Christians rooted in Christian cultures.
After the crush of Twin World Trade Centre in Newyork on 11-09-2001 by the Islamic nations sponsored terrorist group Alkaida some leaders and scholars of Islamic states justified the action of Alkaida as the “Clash of two civilizations “which the president of United states of America, Mr. George W. Bush countered strongly against Islamic leaders point of view and declared that evil action to kill and shed innocent blood in the name of religion cannot be called as civilization at all. Mr. Bush stated the case is evil action against right, Christian civilization that seeks peace, love and respect of others accompanied with humanitarian action in times of war and natural disasters across the world.
The United States of America was founded on the solid rock of Christian cultural and moral values with their vowed theme “In God we trust” by its forefathers. This nation become only superpower country, the champion of democracy, liberty , equality and justice in the world, whose goals is to bring peace to the strife torn nations by political unrest and economic woes and determine to promote social transformation and economic upliftment to the troubled nations around the world. And this is the nation that brought the message of love and salvation of Jesus Christ that transformed and changed US (Nagas) from savage head hunting to the land of Christ and his kingdom establishment on Earth. The prophet Isaiah foretold of this nation America as “ I the Lord have called you in righteousness .I will hold your hand, I will keep you and make you to be a covenant to the peoples and a light to the gentiles, to open their eyes that are blind, to free captive those who sit in darkness” (Isaiah 42:6-8)
Why this nation (USA) is so unique in all respect that enrages fury of bitter hatred and animosity of Islamic nations against it? The answer is, this nation and its peoples are rooted in Christian cultures. Their leaders from politicians to public servants (bureaucrats) from Business Tycoons to ordinary daily bread earners apart from evangelicals are all God fearing, honest and selfless, who are truly committed to live and uphold Christian moral and cultured values under all circumstances. It is in their culture not to accept/elect leaders who are self serving, personal fortune seekers, ego driven blind leaders who dream of building personal empire at the cost of their peoples. It is in their culture to accept/elect leaders who love to sacrifice for their people and to prosper their people, not to buy their votes and make million dollars out of this vote purchase business within a span of 4-5 years tenure as people’s representatives. They choose leaders who love to display extravagance of public money graft which if fiercely against Christian moral and culture conscience and this Christian cultures practiced by Americans come out of True faith ,rooted in Jesus Christ. They become salt of the earth and light of the world the bitter enemy of the prince of this dark world who love to shed blood in the name of religion ,who take pride and pleasure in the exploitation of their own people in the name of democracy. The truth is, they are the Christian rooted in Christian cultures. That propelled them become lone world economic, scientific/technological and peace making super power nation.
