Through your esteem column, I would like to request the Dimapur Traffic Police to take necessary action against the traffic defaulters especially in between Naharbari and Burma camp junction. With the damage of Nagarjan and Purana Bazaar bridges, there is an increase in traffic jam. What is worsening the situation is that many reckless drivers are going off the track, creating two to three lines and leading to traffic congestion and inconveniences to the people. Also, kindly apply the rule of law and penalise even the VIPs if found violating the traffic rules as no man is above the law of the land and every person, whatever be his social standing is equal in the eye of the law.
