Phek, January 2 (MExN): “Live by your education and knowledge,” said Rovilato Mor, IAS Deputy Commissioner, Kohima while speaking at the occasion of Chetheba Town Students Union 27th general session held on December 30 at Town Hall, Chetheba Town.
Speaking on education, he embarked that “education involves intellectuality but intellectuality is not sufficient.” He improvised that it requires good development of habits, behavior and characters in order to become a true educator and urged the students saying, “Do not forget, you need to live by education, life should improve year after year with the process of education”.
Exhorting on how to achieve their goals, he advised “Develop realistic ambition and not wishful dreams.” He also stressed on the importance of culture which plays an important role in a student’s life. Stating that cultural identity, values and custom should not be forgotten, he advocated the cultivation of habits based on cultural values to become a respectable men and women in the course of acquiring knowledge. He reminded the students to work hard in the most desirable manner to prove that they belong to Chokri area. He also challenged the students saying, “If you belong to such an area, I would challenge each and every student to have a clear determination and put the best effort to prove that you hailed from Chokri area’’.
He concluded by cautioning the students that electronic gadgets has become multipurpose where it can benefit the student for academic purpose but on the other hand destroy a life where the students does not know how to utilize the gadgets.
