DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 21 (MExN): The Lions Club of Dimapur Elite organised a free animal health check-up and welfare awareness programme on November 21 at PAWS Veterinary Pet Care Clinic.
The initiative, held under the leadership of club president Meena Sethi, aimed at promoting compassion and responsible animal care. The project was chaired by Lion Nidhi Jain and Lion Annie Jain.
Free veterinary consultation and deworming services were provided to 15 pets and stray animals. The check-up was conducted under the supervision of Dr Lebenthung Yenthang, who extended support to the programme.
The club said animals depend entirely on human kindness as they cannot express their pain or needs. The programme sought to promote awareness on proper animal care among pet owners and the public.
