Live for a purpose says Rajya Sabha MP

Dimapur, December 10 (MExN): Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, Khekiho Zhimomi inaugurated the newly upgraded Government High School of Khaghaboto on December 9.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest called upon the people to live for a purpose to strife for the betterment and togetherness of our future and teach the younger generation to be righteous.
Stating that parents’ first and foremost priority is their children, the MP urged the people of the area to send their children to government schools and avail all the facilities that the government is providing to enable children receive quality education. Pointing out the number of facilities, Khekiho said government is doing its fullest to give free and quality education to all the children. He lauded GHS Khaghaboto for not allowing proxy teachers.
On the enrolment of students in government schools in rural, Khekiho rightly pointed out that enrolment in these schools are less because of which there is lack of competitiveness among the students. He said village authorities should utilize the facilities to develop the schools into proper education institutions.
He was of the view that even in the rural areas equal rights should be given to women who plays major role in the well being of the society.
Speaking on the partyline, Khekiho said Naga Peoples’ Front have a political vision for Naga people and would strife for the development and advancement of Naga people.
He donated a sum or Rs. Ten lakhs towards the development of the school.
Kitoli Naje, DEO Dimapur who graced the programme as guest of honour appealed to the people to have a sense of belongingness to the infrastructure of the government and use them for the right purpose.
President, Western Sumi Hoho, L.K. Achumi also exhorted the gathering. Delivering welcome address, Jacob I. Zhimomi, Chairman, KKK was grateful to the government for upgrading the school which was a long felt desire of the people, as education is most important aspect of life. He also apprised the MP about the fate of the 2-Lane Dhansiri Bridge between Shozukhu and Zukihe which has been abandoned uncompleted.
