Dimapur, September 24 (MExN): A three-day training on livelihoods for Community Service Providers (CSPs) of Satakha and Ghathashi blocks was conducted at BMMU Office, Satakha from September 12-14.
The resource persons for the training were District Functional Specialists (DFS) Dr Bongtok Phom (Livestock) and Atenjen Lemtur (Agri).
Dr Bongtok Phom imparted hands-on-training on poultry and pig husbandry, housing and sanitation, breeds and breeding, feeding management and health care, de-worming and vaccination.
Atenjen Lemtur delved on various topics such as nutritional garden, second crop, generic practices under which the trainees were trained on seed selection, soil management, insects and pests management, plant diseases and plant nutrients, demonstration on the preparation of nursery beds. The main objective of the training was to train and impart knowledge to the CSPs on various livelihoods aspects of Agriculture and Livestock.
