DIMAPUR, JANUARY 15 (MExN): The Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) Nagaland Unit held a meeting on January 10 and unanimously decided to support the call for settlement of the Indo-Naga political issue before election is announced.
A press release from the LJP (RV) Nagaland stated that the Naga issue “is the most pressing and burning issue and Nagas are yearning for more than 7 decades for peace and a meaningful solution to be arrived.”
Meanwhile, the party also extended warm greetings to the Assamese community and Hindu community of Nagaland and neighboring states on the occasion of Bhogali Bihu and Makar Sankranti.
“Bhogali Bihu marks the end of the harvest season whereas Makar Sankranti is the transition of the sun into the Zodiac sign of Makara (Capricorn),” the party stated and hoped that the celebrations would bring peace, happiness and prosperity to the society.
In another press release, the party conveyed greetings to the Yimkhiung Community of Nagaland on the occasion of Tsungkamneo. The party hoped and believed that the true spirit of festival will bring unity, peace and brotherhood among the Nagas.
