DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 21 (MExN): The Langpangkong Students’ Conference (LKM), in collaboration with Swavalamban Connect Kendra (SCK), IDAN, Mokokchung, held a seminar on “CMMFI and Bank Loan Subsidies” under the theme “Uplift Langpangkong” at Changtongya Town Hall on September 20 as part of its 75th Jubilee celebrations.
LKM President Imlinok said the programme focused on financial linkages to help young entrepreneurs. “After thorough research, we focused on financial linkages to help young entrepreneurs realize their potential,” he stated, adding that financially independent youth are less likely to be influenced by money during elections and that entrepreneurship can reduce the dominance of non-local businesses.
Quoting the Bible, he urged youth not to limit their ambitions to government jobs. “With the wisdom given by God, one must work hard and strive for excellence,” he said, pointing out that Nagaland has the second highest unemployment rate in India.
Entrepreneur Dr. Akumtoshi Longkumer called on youth to embrace technology and start their own ventures. “Success is not in doing someone else’s work but in dedicating yourself to your own calling,” he said, stressing discipline, financial prudence, and long-term vision. “Rich talk about things, poor talk about money problems, and the wealthy talk about ideas. Where do you want to be?”
Technical sessions were led by Temsurenla of SCK, IDAN, on the Chief Minister’s Micro Finance Initiative, and Chuba Zungba Ao of SBI Tuli Branch on bank loans and subsidies. The programme was chaired by Sentisenla, with a prayer by Limasungkum, moderation by Sangwa Jamir, a vote of thanks by Manen Pongen, and a mass prayer led by P. Onen Lkr.
