Dimapur, October 17 (MExN): The Linguistic Minority Forum of Nagaland (LMFN) has extended Durga Puja greetings to members of non-Naga community organisations, Hindu religious organisations, temple committees and citizens across the state.
In a message, LMFN Chairman Bishnu Bhattacharjee called upon communities to embrace unity through their respective cultures, traditions and religious beliefs while fostering mutual respect, understanding and peaceful coexistence.
He expressed hope that the blessings of Goddess Durga would bring peace, happiness, good health, prosperity and well-being to every household.
Bhattacharjee said Durga Puja was not only a celebration of faith and devotion but also an occasion to strengthen unity, brotherhood and harmony among people from diverse communities.
He urged all communities to uphold the spirit of “Unity in Diversity” and work collectively towards building a peaceful, inclusive and prosperous Nagaland, where every citizen is treated with dignity and respect.
He also expressed hope that the festive season would inspire people to rise above differences, preserve their cultural heritage, respect one another's religious beliefs and strengthen shared values of humanity and togetherness.
“May Goddess Durga bless the people of Nagaland with peace, prosperity, happiness and lasting harmony,” he said, urging people to celebrate their diverse cultures and traditions while remaining committed to peace and mutual respect.
