NPF to document Naga issue history
Dimapur, June 28 (MExN): The Naga people’s Front (NPF) is to document events related to the Naga political issue and publish them. A seminar on the Naga political problem was organized and held by the Mokokchung unit of the NPF on June 27 in Mokokchung. The party decided during the seminar that the party would “compile all the important documents on the Naga political issue.” “After thorough deliberation, the house resolved to compile all the important documents on the Naga political issue and publish it as well,” a note form the unit’s leadership stated today.
The resource person of the seminar was former legislator Bendangngangshi. He presented a comprehensive discourse on the genesis of the Naga political issue “and its solution.” The NPF explained. During the seminar, the party has decided to “defend Naga identity and regionalism as one’s birthright.’ The party expresses gratitude to all the resource persons and participants from their support. The members have decided to organize more events in all the constituencies.
Sumi Baptist church informs
Dimapur, June 28 (MExN): The Sumi Baptist Church Dimapur has informed that there will be a retired peoples’ fellowship on July 9 at the church’s premises. The programme will be held from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm and all retired Sumi people are invited to take part in the fellowship.
Rate for pork fixed at Rs 130
Dimapur, June 28 (MExN): In a meeting held between the advisors, Chumukedima Town Council and Pork Butchers Union, Chumukedima and Dimapur, a joint decision was made regarding the fixation of pork rate.
The earlier pork rate which ranged from around rupees 120-150 will now be fixed to a rate of rupees 130 per kg (both supply & local). During the meeting held at the office chamber of the Chief Advisor some resolutions were passed: that all butchers will use correct and proper weight scale and that the weight scales should be hanged at least one foot above from the table floor. Also, the butchers should sell only quality meat and not sub standard one. It is important to note that, in case of violation of any of the above mentioned resolution, penalty will be imposed on the spot. No complaint or request for leniency will be entertained under any circumstances.
In an order released by Seyielhouto Keyho in-charge of Market Rate control & Sanitation wing (CTC), he mentioned that, since this decision has been made in the interest and welfare of the public, all concerned people should strictly comply with the above mentioned directives.
