NSAMB Board meeting on July 5

Dimapur, July 2 (MExN):
The Nagaland State Agricultural Marketing board is set to hold its 3rd meeting between the Board of Directors for the year 2011 on July 5 at Hotel Japhu conference hall from 11:00 AM. CN Mozhui, members secretary, NASMB, in a press release requested all the Members of the Board to attend the meeting positively.

Meriyani village elects new VDB secy

Dimapur, July 2 (MExN):
Meriyani village, the only farm based village in Nagaland, Wokha District, elected its new Village Development Board secretary (VDB). In a press release, Z. Yambemo Tsanglao, newly elected VDB Secretary appealed to all members of the village to give their unstinted co-operation and advice for the welfare and development of the village. And also, to the Developmental Departments, Agri-Allied Departments, Police and Administration to assist the village, in any programmes and policy where the Government decides to undertake or implement for the villagers.

Timing for SBI ATM changed

Kohima, July 2 (MExN):
Consequent upon to attempted robbery at State Bank of India (SBI) three off-site ATM booths in Kohima, the SBI has decided to change its off-site ATM operational timing with immediate effect. The operational timing on normal day will be from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM and holiday and Sunday will be from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

NCSU felicitation programme held

Dimapur, July 2 (MExN):
The Njaunalui College Students’ union, Nagaland held a felicitation programme for all the successful candidates of HSLC & HSSLC 2011 at Jalukie town. The programme was chaired by Herahung Pame and Sazulak Neume, Lecturer, Peren College, exhorted the successful students. The meritorious students were awarded with cash and an award certificate. The NCSU (N) wished all the successful students a bright future.

Meeting on biometric enrolment

Kohima, July 2 (DIPR):
As part of the ongoing National Population Register (NPR) exercise, the Biometrics enrolment for the citizens of Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) started in Ward – 0001 (High School) from June 27 to 29. In this regard, a meeting is fixed with all the other Ward authorities, including GB’s, Youth Leaders and Welfare Board under Kohima Municipal Council on July 4, 2:00 PM at DC’s Conference Hall, Kohima. This was notified by Revenue Officer & Sub-District Registrar, Kohima Kovi Meyase.

16th Pfütsero A/C NPF flays

Dimapur, July 2 (MExN):
The 16th Pfütsero A/C NPF has condemned the stealing and subsequent damage through accident of the vehicle (Bolero) of Veheshu Medeo, working President, NPF, Phek Division, on June 29 by some anti-social elements. The incident happened near Mesulumi Village. “These kinds of unlawful activities had been on the rise of late. It is felt that the matter must be properly studied and addressed with genuine concern by delving into whys and wherefores of this social malice. We implore upon the authority/authorities concerned to leave no stone unturned to mete due judicial punishment to those involved in the unlawful activities according to the law of the land to deter others from such further activities,” informed its president WK Ritse and general secretary Wekhrolo Sami.

‘Auto- CAD’ training from July 11

Office of the Principal Khelhoshe Polytechnic Atoizu has informed all the Final year students of Civil Engineering under Khelhoshe  Polytechnic Atoizu, that there will be 1 (one) week training on ‘auto- CAD’ wef July 11 at Government Polytechnique, Kohima. Hardware traders flay crime

Dimapur, July 2 (MExN):
The Hardware Merchants’ Association of Dimapur denounces the June 30 bomb blast at 3rd Mile in Dimapur that left a trader dead and three others injured. “Carrying out such gruesome attack on innocent people should be condemned by all section of society. Such act of terror will never bring solution to any problem but would only lead to further damage the society,” a note from the HMAD stated.  The association conveys deepest condolence to the members of bereaved family members and wishes speedy recovery to the injured.   

Peren ATMA hall inaugurated

Dimapur, July 2 (MExN):
The Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA), Peren District will be conducting a monthly meeting cum inauguration of ATMA Hall at its head office Jalukie town on July7, 2011 at 11: 00 am. A press note issued by Kumui Nring, deputy project director, ATMA Peren district stated that Khrienuo C. Metha, Deputy Commissioner and ATMA governing body Chairman, Peren district has consented to be the chief guest for the programme. Therefore, all responsible ATMA Management Committee (AMC), the Bio-Technology team (BTT) members and all ATMA officials are requested to attend the programme positively without fail.

UFBU’s all India strike postponed

Kohima, July 2 (MExN):
The United Forum of Bank Union (UFBU) in its meeting held on June 30 at Chennai has decided to postpone July 7 All India Strike to August 5. This was stated in a release issued by A. Lolly Moses, general secretary, UFBU, Nagaland unit.
