More condemns July 21 incident
Dimapur, July 23 (MExN): The Chakhroma Students’ Union vehemently condemns the rape and murder of a young girl, at 3rd Mile, NH 29 Dimapur at her own home. Voicing its concern over the continued violence and sexual crimes against the women on a daily basis, the students’ union in a press note has termed the incident as ‘inhuman act’ wherein the victim has been tortured inhumanly. Such criminal minded people have no place in the society which should be condemned by one and all. Extending its support to the Chakhroma Women Organisation and other organisations, CASU has demanded that the culprit (s) involved be immediately arrested and award punishment as deemed fit.
The Angami Students’ Union also strongly condemns the barbaric crime committed on a young Angami lady on July 21. ASU condemns the beastly act of the unidentified persons in the strongest term who have no place in this civilized world.” When the general public and intellectuals alike are trying to bring peace and changes in our society, such ill-fated incidents derails and belittles the good efforts,” the Union stated in a condemnation note. The ASU urges the concern authority to book the criminals at the earliest and give befitting punishment as per the gravity of the crime. Further, ASU conveys its deepest condolence to the bereaved family at this hour of sorrow and pray that the almighty grant them peace and solace.
