CM to inaugurate ISBT  Mokokchung

Dimapur, July 29 (DIPR):
Nagaland Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio will inaugurate Inter State Bus Terminus at Khensa, Mokokchung on  August 1, 2011 at 9:30 pm. The inaugural function will be chaired by N. Hangsing, Secretary, Transport Department and also attended by P. Dako Phom, Parliamentary Secretary, Transport & Mechanical Engineering as the guest of honour.

S.I. Jamir to grace Tsungremmong
 
Dimapur, July 29 (DIPR):
Celebration of Tsungremmong festival organised by Sumedem Club will be held at Anakiyimsen with President Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee S.I. Jamir as the chief guest on  August 1, 2011 at 11 a.m. Highlights of the programme will include Tsungremmong greetings, presentation of various cultural items.

CSUK 3rd Union Assembly

Kohima, July 29 (MExN):
The 3rd Union Assembly of Chakhesang Students’ Union, Kohima (CSUK) will be held on July 30 at LCS Building Kohima at 11:00 AM.
All the affiliated Union of CSUK has been requested to send two representatives from each unit.
Failing to comply the Unit will be called for explanation, according to a release issued by CSUK speaker Hiweku Mebou.

KMC convenes meet for panchayat

Kohima, July 29 (MExN):
An emergency meeting with all Panchayat chairman/secretaries within the jurisdiction of Kohima Municipal Council will take place on August 1 at 11:00 am in the KMC conference hall for launching of De-Centralized Sanitation Service in Kohima by DPDVB and Kohima Municipal Council.
All the concerned have been requested to make themselves convenient to attend the meeting without fail.

SRSU mourns

Kohima, July 29 (MExN):
The Suruhuto Range Students’ Union (SRSU) mourned the demise of Viqheho Chophy GB and ex-council chairman of Yehemi village on July 27. The Union also prayed for solace to the bereaved family and eternal peace to the departed soul.

NPCC meeting on Aug 3

The Political Affairs Committee of Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) has convened a meeting of all members at 10:00 am on August 3, 2011 at Hotel Saramati Conference Hall. All members are requested to take note and attend the meeting. This was informed in a press note issued by K. Therie, convenor,PAC, NPCC.

CTC informs

Dimapur, July 29 (MExN):
The District Malarial Department is going to distribute mosquito nets (600 nos) to the widows and people living below poverty line on August 10, 2011 at Chumukedima Town Council, conference hall in order to control and curb malaria and other dangerous disease. A press note issued by Chief Advisor, CTC, Thepfulhoutuo Shuya therefore, requested all the Ward Gaonburas to identify and submit names of at least 35 beneficiaries for their respective wards on or before August 5, 2011 without fail. The beneficiaries should be widow and those living below poverty line only.

Land notice at Naharbari village

All public in general are informed that one Pitu Mech, president of Laxmi Mandir Committee, Naharbari Village Dimapur has lodged a complaint to the Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur against reported allotment of patta within fenced area of the Laxmi Mandir located at Naharbari village. It is therefore cautioned to all concerned that no individual or group should purchase or accept gift from any individual or group whatsoever the land within the vicinity of the said Mandir, otherwise he/they shall be doing so at their own risk and responsibility.

State VDB official touring prog concludes

Dimapur, July 29 (MExN):
The official touring programme of Nagaland State VDB Association to Peren District which was primarily focused on educating and creating awareness among the VDB Secretaries of 1198 Villages in Nagaland concluded on Wednesday, July 27.   The president, Tali Pongener and general secretary, Haiku spoke on the need to work together  as an association taking up all problems faced by village VDBs in the State association level. They also emphasized on the importance of maintaining transparency and honesty by the VDBs while undertaking developmental works, a press note said. The tour programme which covered Tening, Peren and Jalukie witnessed good number of VDBs turnout.
