ABAM accord farewell to Rev. Walu  Walling

Dimapur, July 30 (DIPR):
Having served, Ao Baptist Church Association (Ao Baptist Arogo Mungdang, ABAM) in various capacities for the glory of the kingdom of God for the last thirty years, Reverend Walu Walling relieved of his post, Secretary, ABAM Literature and Education Board this month on superannuation. ABAM organized a special programme at Impur on July 29 to accord farewell to Rev.Walu and his family. Hailed from Moayimti village of Tzurangkong Range, Rev.Walu, who did B Th, Bd and M Th from three renowned colleges in the country was accorded tearful farewell by ABAM. During his service at ABAM, Rev. Walu authored and edited number of books, which include ‘Down the memory lane Vol.I & II’, ‘Mission to the Nagas’. He is also known for translation works on Ao Holy Bible and Gospel hymns of ABAM.

Army to hold recruitment rally

Dimapur, July 30 (DIPR):
Army Recruiting Office Rangapahar, Dimapur will be conducting recruitment rallies under the aegis of Headquarters Recruiting Zone, Shillong for unmarried male from August 20 to 28, 2011 at Bhagat Stadium, Rangapahar. Recruitment will be conducted for Soldier GD for all districts of Nagaland, Soldier Clark/Store Keeper and Soldier Tech for all NE states. A press release issued by J.Hota (Colonel) Director Recruiting, Rangapahar said candidates for Kiphire, Longleng, Mon and Phek for soldier will be held on 20th August while candidates for wokha, Kohima, Peren, Tuensang, Mokokchung and Zunheboto will be held on August 21. He also said screening for the rally will commence at 0630 hours each day for under-matriculates and screening for matriculates and above will follow thereafter. Written test for selected candidates will be held on August 28. Colonel Hota said rally will be conducted in a free, fair and transparent manner and cautioned aspiring candidates not to fall prey to persons posing as touts and middlemen.

Ex-servicemen security post & training

Dimapur, July 30 (DIPR):
All Ex-servicemen willing to join security post and undergo technical trade training in various Institutes sponsored by the Rajya Sainik Board Nagaland are requested to forward their names and their contact details to nearest Zila Sainik Board and Rajya Sainik Board at the earliest. For further clarification, candidates may visit the Zila Sainik Boards and the Directorate of Ex-servicemen Welfare, top floor, Old Secretariat Complex Kohima opposite Congress Bhavan. This was issued in a press release by Rajeev Dong, Wing Commander Retd Deputy Director, Rajya Sainik Board Kohima Government of Nagaland.

Kuki GB Union elects new members

The election of the Kuki GB Union of Ahthibung Area was held on July 15, 2011 at Ahthibung Town and the new team of elected office bearers are: Chairman - Tongkai Hangsing, GB of Phanjang Village,  vice-chairman- Thanghen, GB of Sailhem Village secretary - Sehlal Hangsing, GB of New Chalkot Village, joint secy- Hellam, GB of Ahthibung,  treasurer - Satkhojang, GB of Mongjang (Bongkolong) Village. Urgent election reminder

Dimapur, July 30 (MExN):
As per directive of Election Commission of India, the Office of the District Election Officer have intimated all outpost Administrative Officers and heads of Offices on July 12 and 13, 2011 for submission of government employees (Gazetted or Non-Gazetted) except Grade-IV and contract employees under his/her jurisdiction and establishment on or before July 31, 2011 to the office. A press note issued by Khekugha Sema, Assistant Election Officer-I stated, “However, no outpost Administrative Officers and almost all Heads of Offices have not yet submitted the said list till date for appointment of Booth Level Officer. Therefore, all out post Administrative Officers/Head of Offices are once again informed as reminded to submit the said list latest by August 5, 2011 without fail.”
