AKTK informs
Dimapur, August 10 (MExN): The Ao Students’ Union Kohima (AKTK) has informed that all its affiliated units are to submit membership to the Union finance secretary Repa Ozukum on or before August 30 as implemented in the Union resolution. The finance secretary in a press release also informed the same to submit names and related documents of the students those who are qualified for AKTK meritorious award.
Banquet Hall Raj Bhavan inauguration on Aug 12
Kohima, August 10 (DIPR): The inaugural function of the Banquet Hall, Raj Bhavan, Kohima will be held on August 12 at 11:30 a.m. and the “AT HOME” hosted by His Excellency the Governor of Nagaland on the occasion of Independence Day will be held on August 15 at 12:00 hours.

Dimapur, August 10 (MExN): The DC Dimapur N Hushili Sema IAS has informed that all markets and shops are to remain closed till 12 noon on August 15. Also all head of the department of Dimapur district are informed that attendance at the Independence Day function is mandatory. Attendance of all departmental officers and staffs of Dimapur will be taken at the DDSC Stadium at 9:00 am on August 15 and handed over to the SDO (C) Dimapur. Therefore, all HoD are requested to inform their officers and staffs to attend the function accordingly.

Dimapur, August 10 (MExN): Yimchungru Medumeo festival celebrated in Phek Town at the residence of S. Kiucham, president of Yimchungru Union Phek Town on August 8.ASI Ato enlightened the gathering on the history and significant of Meduneo Festival.Representative from Eastern Naga Peoples’ Union (ENPU) Phek, O Akong Chang, president ENPU sought the co-operation from all the section of society. Limi Sangtan SDPO & Advisor ENPU Phek also said that festival help us to bring each other together by exchanging new ideas. Other highlights of the programme included traditional dance. NLA speaker convenes meeting on Aug 18
Kohima, August 10 (DIPR): Nagaland Legislative Assembly Speaker, Kiyanilie Peseyie who is also the Chairman of House Committee has convened a meeting on August 18 at 11:00 am in the Committee Room of Assembly Secretariat. The meeting was convened to discuss “Revision of Salaries, Allowances and other facilities for Members and Pension for Ex-Members. Nagaland Legislative Assembly Secretary, AE Lotha has informed this in a press release and further requested all the concerned Committee Members to kindly make it convenient to attend the meeting positively.

Wokha, August 10 (DIPR): In view of the Independence Day celebration, a mass social work will be held on August 13 from 6:00 a.m. onwards at Wokha. ADC Hq., Anthony Ngullie has requested all members of the colonies and wards to participate in the cleanliness drive. He further requested that residence in the highway areas, offices and town should be thoroughly cleaned.
