Kohima, August 17 (MExN): Chairman, Chiephobozou Central Council, Neichütuo Rio has informed all the department staff and citizens of Chiephobozou that Biometric will be done on August 22-23 at Chiephobozou.
DC Kiphire informs
Kohima, August 17 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner office of Kiphire has notified to the public that Purrur Village is proposing to change the nomenclature of their village to Pungrungru. According to a press statement issued by DC Kiphire, CM Tsanglao, the office has therefore issued a notification that any objection in regard to the above issue, individual or clans may submit the same to the DC Office Kiphire within 30 days from the issue of this notice. The statement further informs that any claim or objection lodged after the expiry of the date shall in no way be entertained.
DCCI general meeting on Aug 20
DIMAPUR, AUGUST 17 (MExN): The Dimapur Chambers of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) has convened a general meeting of all business welfare unions and commerce chambers under Dimapur district on August 20 (Saturday) at 11am at the DCCI office, Ana-Ki building. DCCI requested all concerned to attend the meeting positively as important issues are to be discussed in the meeting.

Dimapur, August 17 (MExN): All the Konyak Baptist Bumeinok Youth Dimapur (KBBYD) is informed that there will be a car wash day on August 20 in aid of missionary project. The KBBYD president in a press release has requested the concerned youth to report to the church at 5:30 sharp without fail.

Kohima, August 17 (MExN): Chief Executive officer, Elizabeth Ngully has convened a general meeting with all panchayats chairman/secretaries within the jurisdiction of Kohima Municipal Council on August 19 at 11.00 am at KMC Conference hall. Through a press release, CEO has requested all the concerned to make convenient to attend the meeting without fail.

Kohima, August 17 (MExN): The Sumi Aphuyemi Baptist Akukuhou Kuqhakulu, Executive council member, Women Board member, Youth Board Member, School Board member, Children Ministry Board, Pastor, Women Leader, Youth leader and staffs are to come in church leaders, seminar on September 16-17 at SABAK Mission Centre Pughoboto with Rev Aheto Sumi, Translations Adviser, BSI Shillong as the speaker. Rev. Hotokhu P. Zhimomi, Seminar Co-ordinator in a press release has requested all the members not to miss the seminar.
Phek Excise conducts raid
Kohima, August 17 (MExN): The Excise department under Phek had conducted surprise raid in and around Phek Town and Pfutsero Sub-Division on August 12 and 13, 2011. The raid was headed by the following officers- Inspector of Excise Pfutsero, H.Berimong and Neizeizolie, Inspector of Phek along with Sechoba AIE, Yanpungrhomo AIE, Neikolo H/C, Khriesizo H/C, Vizielie, Khrieyakilie, Mesewe, Chinge, Videto, Shekhoto and Senti. According to a press release issued by Superintendent of Excise & Prohibition, Phek, N.Nuh Chakhesang, the raiding party seized 72 bottles of IMFL and accused persons were booked under the relevant sections of NLTP act 1989. The release further informs that such checking would be conducted very often.
YSUD condemns
Dimapur, August 17 (MExN): The Yimchungrü Students’ Union, Dimapur (YSUD) vehemently condemned the barbaric act where Seopi Sangtam was shot dead by some unidentified miscreant on August 6 at Super Market, Dimapur. YSUD Vice-President H. Toshi in a condemnation note stated that the union taking into strong note, appeals the Law enforcing authority to deliver justice at the earliest, and also insists vigilance over worsening law and order situation, especially at city like Dimapur which is sensitive to killings, lootings, kidnappings etc so that it can be a safer place to dwell. Further, the union conveyed condolence to the bereaved family members and relatives and prays for the departed one to rest in peace.
