ENPU & ENGO joint meet held

Dimapur, August 18 (MExN):
The Eastern Nagaland Peoples Union (ENPU)  Office Bearers and Eastern Naga Govt.Officer Phek held a joint meeting on July 30 at its treasurer’s, in connection with non enrollment of some new comers, the house decided that the action will taken as per as union resolution. A press release issued by O.Akong Chang president and L.Pitongse Sangtam executive secretary said that according to the union’s resolution No-1 all new comers of Eastern Naga at Phek town to register/ Enroll their name to the union within the arriver of one Month   and requested to submitted their membership Fee &Etc on or before September 10 to the respective tribal representative. And any member fails to comply with the decision; the union will take stringent action against him/her. The union said that it will not be responsible for ay untoward incident.

GMS in Tobu village inaugurated

Mon, August 18 (DIPR):
Government Middle School (GMS) Tobu Village was inaugurated by DEO Mon, Vikiho Awomi on August 17. Speaking on the occasion as the chief guest, he exhorted the Tobu Village Council to continue their good works for the welfare of the students and their locality. He further pointed out that Village Education Committee must cooperate with Village Council to lead the Education Institution in the right path. DIS Tobu, P. Pur Jamir; President TASU, N. Nyamnyie; Council Chairman Tobu Village, N. Leangin also spoke at the programme. Earlier, the new GMS was blessed by Pastor TVBC, P. Phuhlem and the programme was chaired by President Village Students Union, M. Chiming.

LWSK meeting deferred

Dimapur, August 18 (MExN):
The Lazami Welfare Society, Kohima (LWSK) meeting scheduled on August 20 has been deferred to August 22 due to unavoidable circumstances. The meeting will be held at the same venue and time on August 2 2(i.e. Monday). Therefore, LWSK president in a press release has requested all the former office bearers, advisor, newly elected office bearers and well wishers to attend the said meeting positively.

Medical camp at Pongching Village

Dimapur, August 18 (MExN):
A medical camp was organised at Pongching Village, Longleng by VH & SC and Village Council on August 10. A press note received here informed that about 500 villagers availed the medical camp. The medical team was led by Dr MA Wati, CMO-Longleng along with Dr Mhonchan MO, Dr Kekhreinizo MO, Angdok DPM, Afen BPM, Asangla media officer, Mercy ANM and Pangtan ANM. The district malaria staffs team was led by Dr N Thungbemo Patton DMO-Longleng, Johnson Technician, Ennyei SW, AMoa SW and Hetan SW. During the camps blood-testing and distribution of medicines free-of-cost was also done.

Medical camp held at Pangti

Kohima, August 18 (MExN):
A one day free medical camp was organized at Pangti village on August 16. The camp was jointly organized and sponsored by the inheritors and family members of late. Yitanglo Ngullie and late Chichanimo Ngullie of Pangti village in collaboration with Baptist Church Pangti. The camp was conducted by a team of doctors and medical staff headed by Dr. Mhabemo Kithan, CMO and Dr. Nchumbemo, DCMO. Many villagers turned positively and availed the free medical camp where medicines were also distributed at free of cost.

New marketing shed at Tobu bazaar

Mon, August 18 (DIPR):
EAC Tobu, Thungchanbemo inaugurated the new marketing shed at Tobu bazaar on August 12 under Global Ecological Fund, United Nation Div. Project. He appreciated the good works of the department and the Tobu Village Students Union, Tobu Town Students Union who has constructed the Marketing Shed. Short speeches were also delivered by Y. Lotha SCA Tobu. GEF-UNDP Mon, Tobu Village Council, Chairman Adhoc Town Committee Tobu.

Phek College freshers day

Kohima, August 18 (MExN):
The Phek Government College, Phek observed its 30th Freshers’ meet at Deo Nukhu Hall, Phek on August 10 last. Sr. S.P, Phek Vika Sumi graced the occasion as the chief guest. 2011 PGC Miss Fresher & Mr. Fresher were crowned to Medowe-u Kapfo and Menute Keyho respectively. The function was attended by the principal, lectures, Phek Town Chakhesang Students’ Union officials, senior police officials, besides hundreds of students.
