DC Mon constituted verification committee
Dimapur, August 30 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer, Mon Angau I Thou has constituted the following verification Committee to detect anomalies such as proxy photo and under age photographs of the recently concluded PER/EPIC campaign for the each polling station in the district. A press note issued by S. Hongpi Konyak, DPRO Mon stated that the Committee shall perform door to door survey photographs for the PER/EPIC Campaign with effect from 30th August 2011 to 8th September 2011. Each Committee shall submit their report to the concern ERO for further submission to CEO. Chairman- Area Administrative Officer, member- Booth Level Officer, member- Village Council Chairman, member- Panchayat Chairman/Head GB, member- Booth level agent, member- Area DB.
DIS Peren informs
Dimapur, August 30 (MExN): The Deputy Inspector of School Peren has informed all Government and private (primary and middle) schools under the establishment of DIS Peren to come and collect Teacher’s Day token from the office.
Kohima BLO training cancelled
Kohima, August 30 (DIPR): Due to technical reason in connection with preparation of Photo Electoral Roll, the training with Administrative Officers and BLOs to be held on 2nd September 2011 stands cancelled. Fresh notice shall be served later according to a notification by AEO Kohima, Vekho Vero.
MO Wakching clarifies
Dimapur, August 30 (MExN): In regard to August 29 news item, Dr A Chingyen MO Wakching made a clarification on his speech “facilities available at Wakching” that he did not intentionally mean to say that everyone should go for compulsory HIV test, but wanted to encourage people to go for HIV test which is available in the PHC Wakching as it is always good for all to know their HIV status. He therefore, apologized for “wrong interpretation.”

Dimapur, August 30 (MExN): President NPF, Dr. Shurhozelie has convened a meeting of the Central Executive Committee on September 21, 2011 at 11:00 am at Central Office, H.Q Kohima. A press note issued by K.G Kenye, secretary general, NPF Central stated that all CEC members and concern persons are therefore directed to attend the meeting without fail.

WDAU on new autorickshaws at Wokha
Dimapur, August 30 (MExN): The Wokha District Autorickshaw Union (WDAU) has cautioned public of Wokha district that it has strongly resolved to ban on bringing of new autorickshaw in an around Wokha district without Union’s knowledge (Ref. to Union Meeting’s Resolution Dated 14/11/2009 for which a copy is also endorsed to DC Wokha). The Union in a press note issued by its president, Bhoromo Murry and general secretary Athungo Kikon stated that it was compelled to issue this circular once again in the interest of the public of Wokha district. For which, defaulters will be dealt according to its union’s resolution.
